Step 1: Has it already been identified?
With hundreds of requests submitted each year, it's possible the project you have in mind
has already been requested and is on our radar.
Let's check! Start by visiting the current adopted Five Year Plan Interactive Map. Be sure to
click on the "Beyond 2030" tab for projects that have been identified but are awaiting funding.
Each year partner agencies are asked to submit a list of project priorities for inclusion in the Five-Year Plan (FYP). The FYP sets forth the strategies, projects and priorities which ACHD will pursue over the next five years. Partner agency priorities assist ACHD in understanding the importance of improvements at a higher level. Individuals should reach out to our partner agencies to find out how to be part of the process. When your city/county joins you in supporting your request, it can help elevate the importance of a project making it easier for the project to be included in the FYP.
We recommend you subscribe to regular updates on the Five Year Plan process and make
sure to get involved when we go out for public feedback. We solicit public involvement
several times throughout the year, offering many opportunities for you to continue to
advocate for those projects that mean the most to you!
