The Ada County Highway District is excited to announce the addition of a new team member to better serve the community with a specific focus on bicycle and pedestrian modes of transportation.

The Bicyclist and Pedestrian Program Coordinator position was recently created to assist the District in meeting the needs of the growing number of citizens who walk or ride as modes of transportation. The Bicyclist and Pedestrian Program Coordinator will play a large role in existing and future projects and advise ACHD staff on best practices for cyclists and pedestrians as well as influence District policies to better serve the public.

The position will be instrumental as the Highway District continues to serve the six cities and their increasing populations. ACHD looks forward to providing more information on the newly created position and expects to have the position filled to begin work by mid-May.
