Ada County small businesses can now apply for ACHD Commuteride's Workspace Mobility Grant program. In its second year, the Workspace Mobility Grant program assists businesses in providing commute options for their employees and customers.

The Commuteride Workspace Mobility Grant provides up to $3,000 in grant funding to selected businesses in Ada County with 200 or fewer employees. Eligible non-profit organizations, registered Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), and organizations serving low-income, minority, or other underserved populations are encouraged to apply.

Grant funds may be used to purchase workplace transportation solutions such as bike parking, secure bike storage, bike repair stands, lockers, transit or vanpool passes, carpool/vanpool reserved parking signage, shared bikes/scooters, and more. Applicants are encouraged to consider creative and innovative solutions to most effectively increase access to transportation options for employees and customers.

Last year, the Workspace Mobility Grant provided funding to 16 businesses to implement a range of transportation projects, including bike racks, transit passes, employee bike share bikes, and bike repair stands.

"We are thrilled to launch a second round of the Workspace Mobility Grant program with funding support from the City of Boise," said Commuteride Manager Tessa Greegor. "Among other benefits, expanding transportation options and benefits at workplaces helps commuters reduce their transportation costs while supporting businesses with employee recruitment and retention."

The application period for the Commuteride Workspace Mobility Grant is open April 1& through Friday, April 29. The grant application is short and straight-forward, taking an estimated 15 minutes or less to complete. More information about the grant and eligibility requirements can be found online.
