Local businesses and organizations in the Treasure Valley can now register for ACHD Commuteride's annual May in Motion campaign.
Post Date:03/10/2022

Local businesses and organizations in the Treasure Valley can now register for ACHD Commuteride's annual May in Motion campaign.

May in Motion is a great opportunity for organizations around the Treasure Valley to promote smart commute options such as biking and walking, carpooling, vanpooling, transit, and teleworking for their employees.

Throughout May in Motion, Commuteride provides in-person and virtual events, customized activities, education, and incentives to support participating businesses and their employees with commuting options in the Treasure Valley.

New this year, employees of participating businesses can earn "Commute for Ca$h" rewards for using smart transportation during the month of May and logging their trips through the Share the Ride Idaho app.

In June, participating businesses will be invited to attend an awards ceremony where they will be recognized for their participation in the campaign and their efforts to promote commute options for their employees.

Each year, 100+ businesses participate in May in Motion and 2022 marks the 17th year of the program. In 2021, 1,661 people actively participated in May in Motion and decreased driving miles on Treasure Valley roads by 70,425 in May alone. Those miles would equate to approximately 55 tons of CO2 that would otherwise be released into the air.

Employers interested in learning more can attend Commuteride's May in Motion Kick-off Event on March 15, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Idaho State Museum in Boise.
