The Ada County Highway District and its budget coordinator are being honored with a prestigious award for excellence in financial planning.

The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has awarded ACHD and Christine Tannler, budget coordinator, with the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award. This award is the highest form of recognition in governmental budgeting.

Agencies selected for this award prepare high quality budget documents that reflect guidelines established by the National Advisory Council on State and Local Budgeting and the GFOA's best practices on budgeting.

"This award not only signifies the tremendous effort ACHD consistently dedicates to this very important budget process, it underscores the Commission's commitment to ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and transparency in our budgeting process for the taxpayers, " said ACHD Director Bruce Wong.

ACHD received this for the 2019-2020 Budget. This is the 12th consecutive year the district has been honored with this award.
