The Ada County Highway District is proud to announce one of its traffic engineers is being honored with a distinguished award for excellence in engineering.

The Southern Idaho Section of the American Society of Engineers (ASCE) has named Aimee Loudenslager the 2019 Young Engineer of the Year. Each year, the ASCE recognizes exceptional civil engineering projects and engineers. This award honors the engineer who best illustrates superior civil engineering skills.

"This prestigious award clearly signifies and recognizes the tremendous impact Aimee has made at ACHD and for Ada County," ACHD Director Bruce Wong said. "We are very proud of her and very grateful for the insight and leadership she has consistently brought our team."

Loudenslager has been with ACHD for six years.
