Garden City- Wednesday, January 9 at 10:30 a.m., the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) will hold a swearing in ceremony for ACHD Commissioner Kent Goldthorpe and ACHD Commissioner-elect Mary May. The ceremony will be held in the ACHD Auditorium located at 3775 Adams Street in Garden City.

Mayor Tammy de Weerd of Meridian will swear in Commissioner Goldthorpe, who was re-elected in November and will be starting his 2nd term of office with the Highway District. State Representative Mike Moyle will swear in Commissioner-elect May. The ceremony will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m., followed by a short reception. The Pre-Commission meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m., with the first Commission meeting of 2019 being held at noon. The Commission will elect their officers (President and Vice President) during the meeting.
