Seasonal Opportunities 

Crack Seal Laborer 

  • Day Shift, Monday- Thursday, 7 am- 5:30 pm
  • Enjoy 3-day weekends
  • $19.00 p/h

Duties:

Fall/Winter Maintenance Crew:

  • Use compressed air and heat to remove moisture & debris from the pavement cracks
  • Fill voids with hot-applied asphalt-based sealant
  • Care for and maintain District 1-ton truck
  • Walk up to 10 miles per day while in the traffic and Right-of-Way
  • Knock on doors to get cars moved when needed
  • Must be self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, willing to take direction on processes and procedures
  • Able to work outdoors in the fall and winter months
  • Set-up and tear down traffic control barriers
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Valid Drivers License
  • Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Ability to follow directions on county processes and procedures
  • Follow and adhere to all safety policies and regulations
  • Operate all county vehicles and equipment in a safe and professional manner
  • Work 10-hour shifts outdoors in all weather conditions
