Meridian Road, Cherry Lane to Ustick Road

Construction Update as of 05/29/2020: The west side of Meridian road has been paved and striped. Crews are finishing sidewalk on the west side. Traffic is expected to swap in early June after the sidewalk is complete. Walls are complete.

A traffic swap is tentatively expected to occur the week of June 1st. Traffic will swap to the new asphalt on the west side of Meridian Road and construction will begin on the east side.

Traffic Information:

Pedestrians are on the east side of Meridian Road to allow for work on the west side. There are posted pedestrian detours and the following temporary pedestrian crossings:

  • Meridian and Spicewood
  • Meridian and Willowbrook
  • Meridian and Woodbury

Vehicle traffic is one lane in each direction on Meridian Road. This may cause travel delays, please plan your commute accordingly. Motorists should expect lane restrictions and flaggers as necessary during construction.

The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) and Central Paving began construction of the Meridian Road project in December. Utility work begin in advance of construction.

Project Description
The project includes widening Meridian Road between Cherry Lane and Ustick Road to two lanes in each direction, with a center turn lane, as well as adding bike lanes, and continuous curb, gutter and sidewalk.

  • Improve traffic flow
  • Increase safety for those that walk, bike and drive.
