2020 Federal Aid Capital Maintenance

Construction Update as of March 30, 2021:  A preconstruction conference was held on June 18th. The Notice to Proceed was July 6th. 

Starting April 1st, crews will begin removing asphalt on Locust Grove Road from Ustick Road to McMillan Road. Asphalt paving will begin April 5th and is expected to last 5 days, weather permitting. During milling and paving operations drivers should expect lane restrictions with flagging. Drivers are encouraged to seek alternative routes or plan additional time into their commute.  There will be temporary delays of up to 15 minutes at driveways and cross streets as paving operations cross those locations.

Roadwork on 13th Street, Alturas to Brumback is expected to begin as early as April 5th. The road will be closed and there will be no on street parking during that time. Work is expected to last up to four days as crews remove existing asphalt, pave, and place permanent striping. 

General Description:

This summer the Ada County Highway District will begin work on phase one of the 2020 Federal Aid Capital Maintenance project. This project includes pavement rehabilitation, select pipe replacement and pedestrian ramp upgrades. Work will be done on the following segments of road:

  • 13th Street, Alturas Street to Brumback Street--Concrete work is complete. Road is closed from April 6th-April 9th for asphalt paving.
  • Cole Road, New York Canal to Latigo Drive: Complete
  • Hill Road Parkway, Horseshoe Bend Road to Seaman Gulch Road - Complete
  • Horseshoe Bend Road, State Street to Cemetery Entrance - Milling started on April 7th and is ongoing through April 10th. Asphalt Paving is scheduled to start April 11th. Work impacting SH-44 (State Street) will be done on the weekend.
  • Locust Grove Road, Ustick Road to McMillan Road--Milling is complete. Asphalt paving started April 6th and is ongoing.
  • Pine Avenue, Linder Road to Meridian Road - Complete
  • Technology Way, Columbia Road to State Highway 21 - Complete
