BOISE — Beginning Thursday, April 16, Shoreline Drive will be closed east and west of the intersection at Americana Boulevard.
Americana Boulevard will remain open to northbound and southbound traffic at the intersection, but vehicles will not be able to turn onto Shoreline Drive from Americana. Only local traffic will be allowed on Shoreline Drive between Fairview Avenue and Americana, and between Americana and 13th Street. (See detour map)
There will also be lane restrictions on Americana Boulevard throughout the work. At least one lane in each direction will remain open on Americana for the duration of the project.
Those accessing the Boise Farmers Market should use River Street to 13th Street. The parking lot will remain accessible for vendors and customers.
The work is part of ACHD’s Americana Boulevard, Shoreline Drive, & Eisenman Road project, a federally funded project focused on pavement and pedestrian improvements. When finished, the area will have improved bike lanes with raised buffer medians along Shoreline Drive, and a protected intersection treatment at the Shoreline Drive intersection.
This work will enhance pedestrian and bicyclist accessibility and safety at the crossings. Improvements also include upgraded pedestrian ramps and upgraded traffic signals which will include Accessible Pedestrian Signal (APS) compliance. The project also includes pavement and drainage improvements.
This project is expected to wrap up this fall. All work is weather-dependent.
