ADA COUNTY— Following hundreds of submissions and thousands of votes, the Ada County Highway District is excited to announce the winners of its third annual Name a Plow contest.

The winning name from the public is Taylor Drift, submitted by Bruce Stevenson of Meridian. The winning employee-submitted name is Snowzooka, contributed by Joey Wallace, a leadworker.

Both names will be added to ACHD snow plows that will be clearing Ada County roads this winter. Each winner will also receive a $100 gift card in recognition of their creativity.

These new names will join ACHD’s growing fleet of named snowplows, which currently includes: Ashton Jeanty, CTRL+SALT+DELETE, Snotato, The Big Leplowski, Scoop Dogg, PlowyMcPlowface, Clearapathra, and Sled Zeppelin.

ACHD thanks everyone who took part by submitting names and casting votes this year, and looks forward to seeing the newly named plows out on the roads during the winter season.
