The Orchard Street Realignment Study was adopted by the ACHD Commission on April 22, 2020.
......
Draft Plan Available for Review and Comment
The Orchard Street Realignment Study recommendation includes shifting Orchard St. to the west, constructing a four-lane roadway with a raised median, and roundabouts at the Diamond St., Dorman St., and Gowen Road intersections. The existing Orchard Street/Gowen Road/Harvard Street intersection would be reconfigured and realigned to tie into a realigned Gowen Road. Shared use paths would be constructed on both sides of Orchard Street and on the north side of Gowen Road.

The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) is conducting the Orchard Street Realignment Study to realign and redesign Orchard Street between Gowen Road and Victory Road to connect with the new Lake Hazel Extension.
Based on public input received from the online survey earlier this year, ACHD has developed alternatives for the public to review.
