Construction Update as of 02/21/2020: Meridian Road has re-opened. The Five Mile Creek bridge extension is progressing on the east side. Once complete, traffic will be shifted over to the east and road improvements will commence on the west side of Meridian Road. Meridian Sewer work south of Carmel Drive is complete and work is now taking place at James Court. The work at James Court will require daytime lane restrictions with flagging.

The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) and Central Paving began construction of the Meridian Road project in December. Utility work begin in advance of construction. Motorists should expect lane restrictions and flaggers as necessary during construction.

Project Description
The project includes widening Meridian Road between Cherry Lane and Ustick Road to two lanes in each direction, with a center turn lane, as well as adding bike lanes, and continuous curb, gutter and sidewalk.

Project Purpose

  • Improve traffic flow
