Project Description
The Ada County Highway District is designing a future roundabout for the Ten Mile Road and Lake Hazel Road intersection. The purpose of the project is to increase safety for all users and accommodate future traffic volumes.
Proposed Improvements
- Construct a dual-lane roundabout at the Ten Mile and Lake Hazel intersection
- Two lanes will approach the roundabout, the left lane for thru and left turns, the right lane for right turns only
- Add curb, gutter, and a detached multi-use pathway
- Add crosswalks at each leg of the intersection with two-stage pedestrian crossings
- Include a truck apron for larger vehicles to use if necessary
- The Ten Mile culvert over the Mason Creek Feeder will be replaced with the project and the Lake Hazel culvert will be widened
