Old Horseshoe Bend Road Bridge and Pathway Project
Replace the bridge on Old Horseshoe Bend Road between Hill Road Parkway and Dry Creek Cemetery Road with a wider structure that will include bike lanes and sidewalk on both sides.
Reconstruct the roadway just to the north and south of the bridge (bridge approaches) to accommodate the wider structure.
Construct a concrete sidewalk on the east side of the roadway between Bonita Hills Boulevard and the bridge, and an asphalt pathway between the bridge and Hill Road Parkway.
Construction should begin on or about December 27. The bridge is scheduled for completion in April 2012 and the pathway and road work (bridge approaches) are scheduled for completion at the beginning of May 2012.
Beginning January 3, 2012, the roadway between Hill Road and Floating Feather will be closed to both motorists and pedestrians. Once the road closure has been implimented it will remain in place for approximately four months.
Work will occur during day time hours from approximately 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and may include the following impacts: general construction noise, dust, equipment back up alarms, and ground vibration.
