Edgewood Lane Bridge #70AP

General Description:

Project Update as of 4/7/16:  This project is substantially complete as of 4/14/16.

Construction Coming!

As early as mid-February 2016 construction will begin on the Edgewood Lane bridge just north of Bishop Way. Work is expected to be complete in mid-April 2016. By starting in February, the bridge will be finished in the spring when warmer weather makes it easier to pave and fully complete the project.

Crews will reconstruct the aging bridge to bring it up to modern standards. Once completed, it will include a travel lane in each direction, sidewalks, and bike lanes.

What can neighbors expect?

  • Work is expected to occur between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday and is anticipated to be complete in mid-April 2016.
  • At this time we anticipate that the bridge will be closed for six weeks during construction unless some unforeseen circumstance requires additional closures. In the event another closure is requested by the contractor or a utility company, ACHD will determine the validity of the request, the length of time the road will be closed, and when it will be allowed.
  • The work will also include, but not be limited to, general construction noise, dust, equipment back up alarms, ground vibration and lane restrictions.

Due to the nature of the work, construction details and impacts are subject to change. Please check this webpage as construction gets closer for the most current information.
