Cloverdale Road Closure Planned for Monday, Nov. 18
On Monday, November 18th Cloverdale Road between Hubbard Road and Kuna Road will be closed to allow construction crews to set six beams (girders) in conjunction with the bridge re-building project.
The closure will go into effect around 7 a.m. and will be lifted by 7 p.m. It is possible that the closure may not be required for the entire duration. A signed detour will be in place, using Hubbard, Stewart, Eagle and Kuna roads.
Construction on the Cloverdale Bridge is planned for completion in March 2014.
Starting October 30, 2013, crews will begin replacing Cloverdale Bridge #344 across the New York Canal, located between Hubbard Road and E. Deer Flat Road. Construction on the bridge will be complete in early March 2014, while the overall project will finish in April 2014. The new bridge will be wider, include sidewalks and bike lanes, and will accommodate truck weights previously restricted.
The bridge will remain open during construction, but will be reduced to one lane. Temporary traffic signals will manage vehicle flow, alternating between north- and southbound movement.
The work may include, but is not limited to, general construction noise, dust, equipment back up alarms, ground vibration and travel delays.
Crews will work between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. and weekend work is possible.
