Work to re-paint the Capitol Boulevard Bridge began May 23, 2013 and was completed in late October 2013.
In conjunction with Boise City, ACHD will re-paint the Capitol Boulevard bridge, and lights, similar to those originally constructed on the bridge some four-decades ago, will be added. Work began on May 23 and will be complete in the fall of 2013.
The bridge will be re-painted to its original 1930's color, Ivory Lace (an off-white shade). The bridge was last painted in 1992 during a previous bridge rehabilitation.
As part of Boise City's 150th celebration, the bridge will be re-dedicated upon completion. In conjunction with the re-painting, Boise City will replace the light fixtures on the bridge to reflect the original 1930's fixtures.
Crews will paint the bridge in two stages:
Crews will work weekdays, generally between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. When crews are working, lane restrictions on the bridge are possible. In addition, temporary Greenbelt closures or restrictions may be necessary.
