The full-width street sweeping pilot program will occur in a section of the North End this fall. The goal is to reduce stormwater pollution in the Boise River by sweeping up the abundance of leaves and debris that accumulate in drains, gutters and streets during autumn.
The street sweeping service requires residents in the pilot area to move their vehicles off the street one day a month during the second week of October, November and December -- this is so sweepers can reach all the way into the curb line.
The pilot area extends from Resseguie Street to Fort Street (north & south boundaries), and between 5th Street and 13th Street (east & west boundaries). On-street parking will be restricted on your sweeping day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Conducting a comprehensive deep-clean of North End streets each fall will help remove built-up debris from curbs and gutters and prevent stormwater drains from clogging.
