Join us for our online Budget and Integrated Five-Year Work Plan Meeting

  • July 16, 2020 | 5:30 p.m.

Learn about the draft 2021 budget, an estimated $130 million spending plan that includes projects to increase safety and mobility, and provides for the maintenance and operation of Ada County's roads, sidewalks, traffic signals, bike lanes and related infrastructure.

Online attendees will also have the opportunity to get a first glimpse of the FY 2021-2025 Integrated Five-Year Work Plan (IFYWP) and see how ACHD may be improving the transportation system in their neighborhood in the next 5 years.

How to Participate

This meeting will be live-streamed and members of the public who wish to watch and ask questions can do so using Zoom. You can use a browser or download the Zoom app on your desktop, laptop, tablet or cell phone.

Links to the meeting presentations, as well as video of the meeting will be available on July 17.

There will be several ways to provide input:

  • If you are unable to attend the online meeting but would like to submit comments on either the Budget or Five-Year work Plan, please send them to 3775 Adams St., Garden City, ID 83714 or send comments online.
  • Comments on the budget, while always welcome, can be best used if received by July 30. The draft budget document will be available online on July 16.
  • Beginning on July 16 the Integrated Five-Year Work Plan Interactive Commenting Map will be available for the public to view and make comments on projects proposed for the next five years. This tool will close to comments on August 21.

Budget and Integrated Five-Year Work Plan Public Meeting

Ever wonder how roads get improved, how signals replace STOP signs or how new sidewalks are added to older streets? Come to this gathering about ACHD's budget and project planning process and learn about how it all works. Attendees will get a sneak peek at the estimated $120 million budget for Fiscal Year 2021 (Oct. 2020-Sept. 2021) and tips for requesting future projects.

Ask Questions

The Ada County Highway District will have experts in roadway planning, traffic engineering, street maintenance and stormwater protection on hand to answer questions and take your suggestions. You can finally get that answer about street sweeping or snow plowing and anything else.

Request Projects 

Each year, new items are added to our infrastructure to-do list and this meeting will show you how to suggest that your favorite project be what we build in the future.

  • Do you see a need in your neighborhood or surrounding areas for improved connectivity and safety for those that walk and bike? Do you have a specific project in mind?
