Cloverdale Road & Overpass Ribbon Cutting Project Remains on Schedule

The entire project is expected to be fully completed by September 2019.

The Ada County Highway District hosted a ribbon cutting Monday June 17th for the opening of the Cloverdale Overpass. The overpass sustained extensive fire damage caused from a tragic crash on Interstate 84 and has been closed for the last year. ITD and ACHD joined together on this project and when fully completed will include:

ITD replaced the Cloverdale Road overpass with a wider bridge which includes:

  • Two travel lanes in each direction
  • Sidewalk, curb and gutter
  • Bike lanes

ACHD redesigned the approaches to the overpass to include:

  • Two travel lanes in each direction
  • A center turn lane
  • Sidewalk, curb and gutter
  • A raised bike lane
  • Upgraded school zone flashers
  • An enhanced pedestrian signal at Emerson Drive and Cloverdale Road
  • A wider bridge over the Ridenbaugh Canal
