Student Intern - IT Technician

Ada County Highway District is now accepting applications for a Student Intern to work in the IT department. This is a paid intern position with a wage of $12.00 per hour. This position will remain open until filled.

The Student Intern position is available to full-time students only. Interns may work a maximum of 24 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week during the summer and other school breaks.

Primary Responsibilities:

• The Intern will assist with supporting and maintaining desktop computers, laptop computers, mobile devices and peripheral devices. Duties may include installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, upgrading, and documenting hardware and software. May also assist with network and phone system duties.
• May also assist with the setup and tear down of audio-visual equipment for staff meetings.

Qualifications:

• The successful candidate must have knowledge of personal computers, software, networks, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with Windows 10, Adobe, and the suite of Microsoft Office products is desired.
• Any knowledge or experience with connecting and configuring computers and peripherals in a network environment and/or using Active Directory and group policies is a plus. Students with a Computer Information Science major or related major are preferred.
• Must have a valid Idaho Driver's License and be at least 18 years old.
